Illinois Quilters, Inc. (IQI) was founded in 1980 for people interested in quilts and quiltmaking. Our guild promotes an appreciation of the fine design and workmanship of quilting through fun, educational events. We honor and preserve our quilting heritage and encourage quilt-based community service.
Our guild has been affected by COVID-19. IQI is having virtual meetings and programs until our locations open and it is safe to meet in person. Please check in with us as we all stay safe. See our Events page for monthly details.
Non-members may participate in a Zoom lecture by sending an email to info@Illinoisquilters.com and paying a $10.00 fee per month on our Shop page. You will then receive a Zoom meeting invitation.
Usually, IQI meetings are at 7pm on the first Thursday evening of most months and feature presentations on a wide variety of quilting topics. Doors open at 6:30pm for library book checkout and return, workshop registration, fabric exchanges and more.
We meet ten months each year from 6:30-9:15pm. Guests are welcome for a fee of $10.00 a meeting, with a limit of two meetings per year. Workshops may follow presentations by a few days. Click here for more information about workshops.
Meetings are held at Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 460 Sunset Ridge Road, Northfield, IL 60093. Workshops are at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 1133 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook, IL 60093.
IQI is affiliated with QuiltingHub.com, a trusted online forum designed to help quilters find resources and information, help quilting resources market themselves effectively, and help the quilting industry grow worldwide.
From the thread makers of Aurifil, a program designed to unlock the mystery of thread, educate the masses and help all users achieve brilliant results!
